3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 dust Dust
Small solid particles that can settle under their own weight in the atmosphere but remain suspended in the air for a period of time.
3.2 combustible dust Combustible dust
Dust that can burn in air or without flame and can form an explosive mixture with air at atmospheric pressure and normal temperature.
3.3 dust explosion hazardous area
Places where combustible dust, combustive gases and ignition sources are present.
3.4 Dust Removal system dedusting system
A device for trapping solid particles in gas-solid two-phase flow is composed of a dust hood or a dust cabinet, an air duct, a fan, a dust collector and a control device.
3.5 explosion-proof devices
The use of prevention and control of dust explosion technology to avoid the formation of dust clouds or possible ignition sources, as well as the combustible dust to lose the burning, explosive effect of devices, such as explosioning, inerting, flameproof and explosion suppression devices.
4 General Rules
4.1 The dust explosion risk existing in the production and processing system should be identified and assessed, and the selection of dust precipitator should meet the following requirements:
a) When the dry dust collector is selected for dust removal, the bag type external filter dust removal and (or) cyclone dust removal process is used.
b) Mechanical processing dust of aluminum and magnesium products, and dust suitable for the use of wet dust collector for dust removal. When the wet dust collector is used for dust removal, water washing or water curtain dust removal process is used.
c) Electrostatic precipitators should not be used.
d) The dust removal system should not adopt the sedimentation chamber based gravity sedimentation dust removal method; Dry roadway structures should not be used as dust removal air ducts.
e) When using a single filter bag vacuum cleaner for the mechanical processing of wooden furniture, it should meet the requirements of AQ 7005.
4.2 Dry dust removal system shall take measures to prevent and control dust explosion according to the explosion characteristics of combustible dust, and choose one or more of the following explosion-proof devices to reduce the explosion risk:
a) Detonation device. Before the explosion pressure has not reached the antiexplosion strength of the dust collector and the air duct, the explosion relief device is used to discharge the explosive products, so that the dust collector and the air duct will not be destroyed.
b) inerting device. Fill the dust collector with inert gas or powder to make the combustible dust lose its explosive.
c) flameproof device. The flameproof device is arranged on the air duct to block the flame and explosion wave in a certain range.
d) Explosion suppression device. The explosion suppression device is arranged on the air pipe and (or) dust collector, and the physical and chemical fire extinguishing medium used to extinguish the flame is filled into the air pipe and (or) dust collector at the moment of explosion to inhibit the development or spread of the explosion. The dust collector and the air duct with toxic, corrosive dust and fuel dust should not use the explosion relief device for pressure relief, and the explosion suppression device should be used to fill the dust collector and the air duct with fire extinguishing gas or powder medium for extinguishing the flame.
4.3 The dust collector box meets the following requirements:
a) The box shall be made of steel metal materials. If other materials are used, flame retardant materials and anti-static measures shall be adopted. Aluminum metal materials shall not be used.
b) The design strength of the box can withstand the large explosion pressure generated after taking explosion-proof measures, and the box set in the building is made of steel metal materials and welded structure.
c) The Angle between the box plates of the square box should be arc processed.
d) The internal surface of the box is smooth, and the steel metal material box should adopt anti-rust measures, and aluminum paint should not be used.
4.4 The operating condition of dry dust collector should be continuous ash discharge and continuous ash transport. It is not suitable to use settling chamber for dust treatment.
4.5 Dust collectors in hazardous places of aluminum magnesium dust and wood dust explosion should work under negative pressure; If the dust removal system in other dust explosion dangerous places uses positive pressure to blow dust, reliable measures should be taken to prevent the ignition source.
4.6 Aluminum magnesium dust should not be used with iron dust, and other types of combustible dust in the same dust removal system, dust removal system should not be used with
